The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov opened the evening round of the plenary meeting.

The Chairman gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, reports and proposals.

After the speeches, members of parliament proceeded with the business of the day.

 

  • Laws, bills and resolutions passed

 

I.Lutsenko to relinquish her MP’s powers

--Draft resolution No.2395

MPs have considered the resolution “On early abdication of powers by MP Iryna Lutsenko”. The move was backed by 275 of parliamentarians in tote.

 

On public roads planning

--Draft bill No.1041

The Verkhovna Rada has seen into the bill No.1041 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On sources of financing of the public road system of Ukraine’ (regarding instituting a mid-term planning for the development and maintenance of public roads)”. The bill was upheld by 368 votes in favour.

 

On development of public roads

--Draft bill No.1064

The parliament reviewed the bill “On amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine for introducing medium-term planning for development and maintenance of public motor-ways”. The bill is aimed at ensuring the implementation of medium- and long-term obligations under contracts for construction, reconstruction, major and medium ongoing repairs of national and local public motor-ways. On the second reading and in tote the bill was backed by 334 ayes.

 

On forged medications

--Draft bill No.1152-1

The bill “On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the liability for falsification of pharmaceuticals or circulation of forged medications” was considered on the second reading and taken in tote by 363 parliamentarians.

 

On better state border guards

--Draft bill No.2161

The bill “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine ‘On operational search activities’ for improving performance of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine”. The statute was taken in tote by 318 parliamentary ayes.

 

On comparative advertising

--Draft bill No.0953

The second reading of the bill on the harmonization of Ukraine’s comparative advertising legislation with the law of the European Union was approved by the parliament in tote.

 

On parliamentary hearing

--Draft resolution No.22416

The parliament confirmed the resolution “On parliamentary hearing ‘The Upbuilding of Effective System for Intellectual Property Protection in Ukraine’”. The event is to be held on December 16, 2019 at the Verkhovna Rada’s conference hall.

 

 

On access to infrastructure

--Draft bill No.2042

By 300 ayes, there was approved the bill on amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding providing access to the infrastructure of construction, transport and power industry facilities.   

 

Less plastic in private life

--Draft bills Nos.2051, 2051-1

By 365 votes in favour, the bill No.2015-1 on a smaller amount of plastic bags in civil circulation was sanctioned on the first reading.

 

New VRU inter-factional associations

The first deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk announced the creation of the following inter-factional parliamentary associations: “Tretii Vik” (The Third Age), “For Sports and Healthy Living”, “For Man-Induced and Ecological Safety in the Fuel and Energy Complex, Railway and Pipeline Transport of Ukraine”, “Inter-parliamentary Dialogue in the Name of Peace – Ukraine, Russia, Germany, France”, “Plast”.
