“The ninth convocation of the Verkhovna Rada has become the all-time feminized one,” -- Dmytro Razumkov

The Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov participated in the “Kyiv Global Summit: Women.Peace.Security”, which has been focused on Ukraine’s gender equality range of problems and women's participation in politics.

“I am very pleased that the all-round changes, which are taking place in Ukraine at the moment, have ‘hit’ the parliament as well.  In the previous convocation there were only 12% of women, while the ninth one does exceed 20%, thus making the Rada’s record ever,” the politician contended.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada highlighted that there has been formed a dedicated team in the country, the team, which indeed is ready to change Ukraine for the better.

Fielding questions of the conferees, Dmytro Razumkov emphasized the high level of tolerance in the Verkhovna Rada.

“We have no division into men and women - productivity of work is the only ‘divider’. Notwithstanding the women’s minority at the parliament, their work is the most productive oftentimes,” the Chairman observed in conclusion.
