A bill on lifting parliamentary immunity was included by the Preparatory parliamentary group in the agenda of the first plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Preparatory group.
When approving the agenda for the first plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation there was heard a report of the sub-group of the Preparatory group. Its coordinator Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized the inclusion of the draft law No. 7203 on amendments to Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine (concerning parliamentary immunity for Ukrainian parliamentarians).
During the meeting, there was an ample discussion on submitting this issue to the Verkhovna Rada on August 29. Following the discussion, the agenda was finally approved.
