On August 23, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy participated in the celebrations on the occasion of the National Flag Day at the Embassy of Ukraine in Vilnius.
"Under blue and yellow banners and gonfalons Ukrainian knights participated in the Battle of Grunwald, where they confronted the enemy - side by side with Lithuanian knights," A. Parubiy said in his welcoming speech, addressing to those present - the Ukrainian community of Vilnius, employees of the Ukrainian Embassy in Lithuania, representatives of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign diplomatic missions before official raising of the National Flag.
