Chairman signs Ukraine’s new electoral code

On August 27, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy signed the Electoral Code of Ukraine with the rule of open party lists.

The new code provides for launching a proportional representation electoral system with open party lists, in particular.

The statute was then sent for the president’s signature.
