Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction
The committee took stock of the results of its work during the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation.
During the term, the committee has prepared 7039 expert opinions for the draft laws on their compliance with requirements of the anti-corruption legislation. During the five years, there were held 141 meetings, with 2010 issues considered.
Within the period, the committee has submitted:
· 76 conclusions on draft bills, which were subsequently tabled for the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s consideration;
· 7039 expertises over draft bills regarding their compliance with requirements of the anti-corruption legislation;
· 63 preliminary conclusions.
In addition, the сommittee has considered over 26,000 letters, applications, statements, complaints, information requests and other materials, including 732 applications from Ukrainian parliamentarians.
The committee suggests that the ninth convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine consider the following issues primarily:
· fundamentals of the anti-corruption policy (the Anti-corruption strategy);
· approval and publication of an annual national report on implementation of the anti-corruption policy.
