The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the Tuesday’s plenary meeting.

 

Morning session

 

Today’s agenda

The Chairman briefed on the agenda items that had been proposed for reviewing today. The list of issues to be considered at the plenary meeting on the 9th of July:

1.           Bill No.3112-1 of draft Electoral Code (second reading).

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada underlined that this week is the final plenary week for this convocation of the parliament and called on MPs to be active and responsible politicians in view of that “final race”. The presiding officer reminded that this Thursday is primed to review bills on hostages, military chaplaincy and support to pitmen.

The Chairman gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, reports and proposals.

After the speeches, MPs proceeded with reviewing the second reading of the bill No.3112-1 on draft Electoral Code. By the end of the morning session they have worked through 4030 amendments.

The presiding officer closed the morning session.

 

Evening session

After the break, MPs reverted to the topic of the day. By the end of the evening session they have worked through 4150 amendments.

 

The presiding officer closed the evening session.

 

The amendments work shall continue tomorrow.
