The politician met with the head of the Kharkiv regional state administration and the mayor of Kharkiv and discussed the cooperation of central and regional authorities with non-governmental organizations and activists as well as the issue of decommunization and decentralization.
Iryna Herashchenko thanked the people of Kharkiv for their significant contribution to the development of European Ukraine, the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state.
I.Heraschenko also visited the famous volunteer tent and held a deputative reception there.
In a volunteer center, she then met with local activists and volunteers and discussed the issue of honouring the memory of the fallen ATO/JFO heroes.
The First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited the Military Medical Clinical Centre of the Northern Region and had there ample talks with the wounded and the centre’s staff. At the end of her medical visit, the politician thanked the doctors for the lives saved.
Iryna Herashchenko underscored the importance of the law of Ukraine on mine action, adopted by the parliament together with the amendments thereto on improving the mechanisms for attracting funds to finance mine action, which had launched humanitarian demining and provided for cooperation with NATO Trust Funds.
During the deputative reception, the dignitary was asked about the release of hostages and political prisoners of the Kremlin, and other socio-economic issues.
The politician then also took part in a charity humanitarian action.
