The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the morning plenary session.

The speaker informed the chamber of his yesterday’s meeting with the United States Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker. During the meeting, the consequences of the Russian aggression in the Kerch Strait were discussed.

The presiding officer gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, reports, and proposals.

After the speeches, the lawmakers switched over to debates over the business of the day.

Under consideration, there was the bill No.8121 on amendments to Ukraine’s land code and some other legislative enactments regarding opposing raidership. The chamber reviewed 148 amendments out of 188. The amendment work shall be resumed at the next sitting.

 

The presiding officer closed the meeting.
