On November 6, there was a meeting of top executives of the Committee on Foreign Affairs with a delegation from Poland headed by Beata Mazurek, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Sejm

The committee  head Hanna Hopko thanked the Polish side for consistent support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, support for Ukraine’s course to full membership in the EU and NATO, as well as for the backing the PACE’s resolution "Political consequences of the conflict in Ukraine", which became an important element of further pressure on Russia, the PACE’s resolution on Ukrainian political prisoners held by the Russian Federation as well as for Poland’s stance as regards the Russian delegation’s reinstatement at PACE.

In turn, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Sejm B. Mazurek assured the further support of Ukraine at all levels, and also emphasized the important component of inter-parliamentary cooperation at the level of the Ukrainian-Polish group on inter-parliamentary relations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral dialogue, in particular, the need to intensify cooperation between the countries at all levels, collaboration in the energy security sector, preventing the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, cooperation in the economic and defence spheres, as well as expanding the regional cooperation dialogue.

Special attention was paid to the issue of increasing the number of border crossing points at the Ukrainian-Polish state border.
