The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy opened on November 5 a meeting of the Conciliation Board.
It fell to his lot to break the news with Kateryna Handziuk’s death in a Kyiv hospital, a renowned public figure and an adviser of Kherson’s mayor. A.Parubiy called on law enforcers to detect the crime in full detail as soon as possible. He also clued up that a group of parliamentarians had appealed to launch an ad hoc court of inquiry to investigate causes of the said death.
The Chairman expressed his sincere condolences to Kateryna Handziuk’s family and relatives.
He then also informed there had been signed on Saturday an important, historic agreement between the State of Ukraine and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which does guarantee the creation of the Unified (One) Local Orthodox Ukrainian Church and further granting it the Tomos of Autocephaly.
Afterwards, the speaker read out the audience the ongoing plenary week’s agenda.
