The body has viewed a governmental draft bill No.7000 on state budget 2018 in the apt for the committee portion. The paper has not been conclusively named to be promotional for development of Ukraine’s digital society on the whole as it had been imposed by the strategy plan “Ukraine – 2020” approved by the President of Ukraine in 2015, the Cabinet’s programme adopted by the Parliament in 2014 and other regulatory enactments. The projected budget offers the branch a ‘barely-there’ financing, scarcely enough to escape starvation.
The committee has concluded to take the budget draft bill into consideration and recommend the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to accept it on the first reading provided the committee’s ‘more-money’ proposals are accounted for.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has also been instructed to recount teleservice costs for benefit recipients to balance the relevant state spending.
Another committee’s advice is to increase informatization and telecommunication expenditures (the general fund) in order to launch in Ukraine the fourth generation of broadband cellular network technology (4G).
