The excursions around the Verkhovna Rada were conducted on the National Flag Day and the Independence Day of Ukraine
On the occasion of the National Flag Day on 23 August and Independence Day of Ukraine on August 24 excursions were conducted in Parliament. Excursion groups were formed with the help of an open registration, which was carried out on the website of the Parliament. So, over two days the House of the Verkhovna Rada was visited by more than 400 people. They not only got acquainted with the architectural heritage of the parliament building and the work of the single legislative body of the country, but also had an opportunity to learn more about the main landmarks of the history of Ukraine thanks to the exposition prepared by the Verkhovna Rada on the National Flag Day and Independence Day.
Thus, visitors were presented with an honorary portal, opened by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Andriy Parubiy, on August 23, in which the Flag of Independence of Ukraine will be kept from now on, was introduced to the parliament building by the people's deputies of the first convocation on August 24, 1991.
Also, the guests of the Verkhovna Rada heard a story about the event that took place 25 years ago - the ceremony of transferring the powers of the State Center of the Ukrainian People's Republic to the exile of the Ukrainian authorities. The exhibition “The Way of the State” is devoted to this jubilee date, held in the corridors of the third floor. Symbols of the Renaissance”. At the heart of the exposition are unique documents and artifacts of Ukrainian history that testify to the many years of aspiration towards the independent, free state, carried by several generations of Ukrainians - from the period of the Ukrainian People's Republic to independent Ukraine. Among the exhibits are the Flag, the Seal and the President Kleynod, passed to the President of the Independent Ukraine on August 22, 1992. The fascinating story of the museum worker is supplemented by a demonstration a documentary based on the original newsreel of the key moments of the Ukrainian history of the 20th century and video citations from the memoirs of the direct participants of the events of August 22, 1992 - Leonid Kravchuk and Levko Lukyanenko. The above exhibition initiates the creation of the Museum of Ukrainian Parliamentarism.
It should be noted that a separate excursion group was formed from foreign citizens. It included representatives of diplomatic institutions from Canada, Argentina, Belgium, Estonia, Austria, Norway, Germany, Great Britain, Germany and others. The tour was conducted in English.Traditionally, participants of the excursions had an opportunity to be photographed in the picture “State-building”, to visit the guest room of the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in which the laws of Ukraine are adopted, and visit the lobby of the parliament and the press point where the briefings of the people's deputies are held.

Last year, the Verkhovna Rada also conducted excursions on the National Flag Day and the Independence Day of Ukraine. Last year 33 excursion groups were formed due to open registration on the parliament's website. Then the visitors were presented with expositions on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Ukrainian state Independence.
