Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations
…has examined over seventy draft bills during the 6th plenary session.
In accordance with its work schedule, the committee has conducted committee hearings, including field ones, roundtables, working group sittings and task meetings. The committee also presented two laws of Ukraine for further adoption by the Vekhovna Rada of Ukraine:
- On insurance peculiarities of state-supported farm commodities, dated 18.05.2017 under No.2041-VIII;
- On state control in law observance over foodstuffs, fodder, animal origin by-products, animal health and welfare, dated 18.05.2017 under No.2042-VIII.
The laws above would allow it to build up a European-standardized safety inspection system in food and feed production, lift Ukrainian export limits in order to expand the end markets and the trade area on the whole. It would give in turn a push to the agrarian sector and the food industry of Ukraine to align with the highest European standards.
The committee-pretabled draft bills adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the first reading are as follows:
- a bill on a refined lease-out order for water bodies complexed with ground area, dated 21.09.2015 under No.3157;
- a bill on the use of defence lands in order to enhance outputs of using the allotted lands, dated 11.05.2016 under No.4638;
- a bill on peasant (private) farm households as to development of rural green tourism, dated 02.07.2015 under No.2232.
Bill re-submitted for a repeat first reading:
- a draft bill on optimization measures in the public administration of the agricultural sphere, dated 07.07.2016 under No.4922.
