…submitted thirty-seven trouble-shooting appeals to smooth over drawbacks brought out by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine during the 6th plenary session.

The above data were included in the committee’s outcome report prepared for the 6th plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of VIII convocation. During the session the committee has been working at one with the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, making use of its materials, data and implications in stage-by-stage assessments of the state and local budgets.

As of July 12, 2017, there were 37 letters sent out to the Cabinet, relevant ministries and local bodies and authorities clearly pointing at disturbances and drawbacks discovered by the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.

As the article No. 208-2 of the Parliament’s regulations and the relevant Ukrainian law require the committee re-announced vacancies for the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine in order to appoint the chamber’s bench (from May 19 till June 19, 2017).

The committee has presently carried out the needful preparations for the bench recruitment re-competition, viz. -- the nominees had been promulgated on the official web-sites of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Committee on Budget, and proper documentation for the ad hoc inspection required by the law of Ukraine “On Corruption Prevention” had been submitted in accordance with the established procedure.
