With Sweden en route

Iryna Herashchenko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, and Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine met Anna Kinberg Batra, the leader of the Moderate Party of Sweden.

The President of Ukraine extended appreciation to Sweden for its consistent support of Ukraine on global scene regarding the Russia’s aggression and retaining the sanctions. The Swedish party leader was informed about the ever-worsening safety and humanitarian situation in the Donbas and Crimea.

Ukrainian officials invited the Swedish party members to visit Donbas in order to verify the state of affairs.

A special attention at the meeting was given to releasing our hostages and political prisoners held illegally in Russia and on the temporarily occupied territories.
