Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction
Annual parliamentary hearings on counteracting corruption issues are taking place on May 24, 2017, where a national anti-corruption report is to be submitted by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
Along with MPs, the related central and local executives, self-government and public institutions representatives, who are too invited, would form a higher tribune for a comprehensive review of the problem.
Committee on Financial Policy and Banking
The Committee delivered a plea to the President of Ukraine to announce a candidacy to head the National Bank of Ukraine at very short notice.
The appropriate resolution was adopted by the Committee at the meeting on May 16, 2017.
Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations
The Committee endorsed the hearings’ recommendations on the epizootic situation in Ukraine held on April 18, 2017. The adopted documents will be sent out to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, regional state administrations, agrarian higher educational institutions, the related public organizations and the others for further implementing.
Two more bills: No.6017, 6269 – on amendments to the State land cadastre, and on privatization of state and communal agricultural enterprises’ lands, were also processed. The outcome was recommended for the Verkhovna Rada to be adopted in the first reading.
Committee on Budget
The Committee viewed 81 bills on May 16, 2017. It was agreed 31 bills to having no effect on the Budget, whilst the rest of 50 did. The budget affecting bills demanding harmonization with the budgetary legislation were also defined.
