Committee on Free Speech and Information Policy suggests adoption of bill On Combating Domestic Violence

The bill No. 5294 tabled by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine offers to determine procedural and institutional principles of combating and counteracting domestic violence, major trends in implementation of state policy in the field of combating and counteracting domestic violence aimed at protection of rights and interests of victims of domestic violence.

The Committee members supported the proposal to adopt the bill as a basis.

At the meeting of the Committee, its participants noted that remarks of experts and representatives of non-government organizations will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the bill for its second reading.
