Members of the Ukrainian Parliament Artur Herasymov and Ihor Popov took part in observing the presidential election in the United States on November 8.

The Ukrainian parliamentarians were members of the official observance mission of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly formed of representatives of 104 OSCE member countries

The observers met with representatives of the major candidates' election headquarters, members of the American Congress, political observers and analysts. On the ballot day, the Ukrainian observers visited ballot stations in Washington D.C. and those located in the State of Maryland.

Within the framework of their visit, the MPs had a number of bilateral meetings with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President and members of the OSCE parliaments to discuss issues of European integration, implementation of the Visa Liberalisation Action Plan and overcoming of the military aggression against Ukraine.

Besides, the Ukrainian parliamentarians took part in celebration of the first anniversary of unveiling of the Holodomor victims memorial.

Other participants in the event were Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States Valerii Chalyi, employees of the Ukrainian Embassy, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Washington D.C. and U.S. friends of Ukraine.
