The minister also provided information about buckwheat harvest and said that the agricultural enterprises plan to harvest 180,000 tons of buckwheat this season.
The member of the Ukrainian Government assured there were no grounds to increase buckwheat prices.
Education and Science Minister Liliya Hrynevych reported on the start of the new academic year in Ukraine and problems with printing of schoolbooks and insufficient provision of educational establishments with school buses.
Government members answered oral questions of members of the Ukrainian Parliament.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman informed about the elaboration of the state budget for 2017, support for state programs and other priorities.
In particular, he said the Government will table the bill on state budget for 2017 in September.
Among the priorities envisioned by the draft state budget, Groysman called security and defense, financial decentralization, energy efficiency and energy independence of the state, as well as support to farms.
The Prime Minister also reported on measures to support domestic engineering sector: tractor and trailer production.
Volodymyr Groysman called on the parliamentarians to support the said large-scale plans.
Besides, Groysman informed about the remuneration of labor reform.
According to the Prime Minister, another important priority for 2017 is support to education in Ukraine.
Groysman informed about the plan to raise all social standards by 10% from December 1, 2016, however, noted this is not enough and that the Ukrainian Government continues to work hard to improve the situation.
The Prime Minister said the Government will pay particular attention to infrastructure projects.
