Members of the Ukrainian Parliament delivered speeches, statements, provided information and proposals.
The Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Law "On amendments to Law of Ukraine "On ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Optional Protocol."
The Law changes the word combination 'disabled persons' with the words 'persons with disabilities.'
The Law takes effect the day following its promulgation.
Respective bill was registered under No. 0102.
The parliamentarians adopted the Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine touching improvement of access of persons kept in detention and penitentiary centers to justice."
Respective bill was registered under No. 2255а.
Members of the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on implementation of criminal punishment and execution of convicts' rights."
The legislative act amends nine articles of the Penal Code of Ukraine.
Respective bill was registered under No. 2490а.
Besides, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Resolution "On recommendations of parliamentary hearings entitled "Professional education as an element of providing qualified staff potential of Ukraine: problems and solutions."
With the Resolution, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the said recommendations.
The recommendations of the parliamentary hearings systematize and take into consideration proposals of members of the Ukrainian Parliament, central and local executive bodies, local councils, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, national sectoral academies of sciences, scientific institutions, representatives of vocational educational institutions, non-government organizations, etc.
Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 4862.
The parliamentarians adopted the Resolution "On awarding of scholarships of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for most talented young scientists in 2016."
The Resolution awards 24 parliamentary scholarships.

Besides, the MPs adopted the Resolution "On awarding Prize of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to most talented young scientists in field of fundamental and applied researches and scientific-technological development for 2015."
The Verkhovna Rada awarded 20 Prizes.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted two resolutions to rename population centers.
The Resolution No. 4035а renamed the village of Danyne (Chernihiv region) as Danyna.
The Resolution No. 4036а renamed the village of Matros'ka (Odesa region) as Matroska.
The MPs considered and discussed the draft resolution No. 4003a "On recommendations of parliamentary hearings entitled "The strategy of reintegration of temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol with Ukraine: problems and solutions."
As a result of a rating voting, the draft resolution received insufficient amount of votes.
The decision on the draft resolution will be taken later.
