Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, opened morning meeting of the Ukrainian Parliament on Tuesday, September 6.
Andriy Parubiy said President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, members of the Ukrainian Government, heads of central executive bodies, representatives of judicial power, high-ranking officials appointed by the Verkhovna Rada, representatives of non-government and mass media organizations, as well as heads of diplomatic representations were taking part in the meeting.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada declared the fifth session open in compliance with Article 83 of the Constitution of Ukraine.
Andriy Parubiy delivered his speech before the members of the Ukrainian Parliament.
President Petro Poroshenko delivered his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada on the internal and external affairs of Ukraine.
Andriy Parubiy informed that on July 29 and on August 17, 2016, the Central Election Commission registered members of the Ukrainian Parliament elected July 17, 2016: Iryna Konstankevych elected in the single mandate constituency No. 85; Yurii Odarchenko (183); Tetiana Rychkova (27); Serhii Shakhov (114); Ruslan Bohdan (151); and Maksym Mykytas (206).
Later, the newly elected members of the Parliament took oath at the session hall.
The authorized representatives of deputy factions and groups delivered their speeches, provided their information and proposals.
