The parties discussed a range of issues of further cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism and medical sector, as well as the ways of enhancing interaction at the level of parliaments of both countries.
Oksana Syroyid stressed that Ukraine is interested in Kuwaiti investments in energy, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
She noted the Kuwait could play particular role in supporting the Crimean Tatars as its co-religionists.
The politician also said that Ukraine and Kuwait have considerable potential for cooperation.
Oksana Syroyid called on the Kuwaiti parliamentarians to closely cooperate in the matters of international support, in particular, in settlement of the sovereignty or security problems of the two countries.
Mr. Faisal Al-Shaii noted that the Kuwaiti policy aims to support friendly and fraternal countries. He also predicted intensification of cooperation with the Ukrainian parliamentarians.
The head of the Interparliamentary group of friendship considers that two things are needed for successful cooperation: legislative framework to protect investors' rights in Ukraine; and establishment of joint groups to spread information about attractive projects in private sector.
Mr. Faisal Al-Shaii handed a letter of invitation on behalf of the Chairman of the National Assembly of Kuwait, addressed to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, to visit the State of Kuwait on an official visit.
