In compliance with the results of its visit to a number of population centers in the antiterrorist operation zone, meetings with teams of regional mass media organizations, representatives of military-civil administrations, residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Free Speech and Information Policy concluded that the state management of the information sphere on Ukraine-controlled and uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is unsatisfactory, misbalanced, non-conforming with the challenges of the hybrid war unleashed by the Russian Federation against our state, etc.

The nonconcurrence in actions of the Information Policy Ministry, State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee, State Service for Special Communication and Information Protection, National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council, Donetsk and Luhansk military-civil administrations did not let Ukraine create effective system of protection of the information space of the state at the organizational, financial, technological and staff levels.

The Committee addressed the National Security and Defense Council to immediately consider problems of the information security in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and in the areas of Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Odesa and Chernivtsi regions adjoining the border with the Russian Federation.

The people's deputies also approved the action plan of the Committee for the fifth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of VIII convocation.

In compliance with the taken decision, the Committee plans to hold 10 meetings within the framework of the fifth session.
