Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations Hryhorii Nemyria had a meeting with a delegation of the Parliamentarians for Global Action organization headed by Secretary-General David Donat-Cattin.

The Parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, reforms conducted in the country, human rights and freedoms protection status, and the interparliamentary cooperation.

Hryhorii Nemyria drew attention of the participants to the absence of the state strategy on protection of rights and freedoms of internally displaced persons and Ukrainian citizens staying in Crimea and on temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.

Besides, the Parties discussed the implementation of the Minsk accords and the settlement of the situation in Donbas.

Members of the delegation expressed their support to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and consideration that the sanctions against the Russian Federation should be retained unless peace is restored in Donbas and Crimea is returned to Ukraine.
