Deputy group of friendship with South Korea meets with Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea Chung Sye-kyun

On June 30 - July 3, 2016, a delegation of the deputy group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for interparliamentary relations with South Korea formed of people's deputies of Ukraine S.Larin (the chair of the group), V.Korchyk, Yu.Pavlelnko, S.Taruta and K.Yarynich paid an official visit to Seoul.

The deputy group met with Spe\aker of the National Assembly of South Korea Chung Sye-kyun. The participants in the meeting discussed a number of important issues for further deepening of the bilateral interparliamentary cooperation: assistance in restoration of economic partnership; intensification of the parliaments' role in celebration of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states and the 80th anniversary of deportation of ethnic Koreans from Far East in 2017; full liberalization of the visa regime for short-term trips; assistance in intensification of work of the Joint Committee on scientific-technological cooperation and organization of the II South Korea-Ukraine Economic Forum.

Besides, the deputy group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had over 14 meetings with representatives of political, economic and culture-humanitarian sector.
