The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction has considered a number of draft laws it is responsible for:
- on amendments to Chapter II "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to prevention of and counteraction to political corruption" (reg. under No. 4706). The Committee declared the document being in line with the anticorruption legislation and recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt the said draft law as a basis;
- on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine (as to activity of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine; reg. under No. 4812). The Committee declared the document being in line with the anticorruption legislation and recommended that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt the said draft law as a basis and in principle.
The Committee considered a total of 58 draft legislative acts and draft resolutions, having examined their conformity with the anticorruption legislation.
Besides, having heard and discussed the information of the offsite meeting of the Committee of June 23, the Committee members decided to:
1. Inform President Petro Poroshenko about the course of the implementation of the Presidential Decrees dated August 27, 2007 and May 1, 2014 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in particular, the elaboration during 2015-2016 of a land management plan for demarcation of the territories within the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park.
2. Address Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman requesting to study the facts of ignoring of the Presidential Decrees dated August 27, 2007 and May 1, 2014 by some ministries, and examine the course of taking by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the environmental protection measures for 2015-2016 in terms of organization and demarcation of the territories of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park.
3. Address Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko requesting to intensify:
- the investigation into the facts of illegal appropriation of lands in Irpin region and involvement of local authorities, state control agencies and courts in it.
- taking measures on declaring illegal the privatization of lands of the Sviatoshynskyi Forestry fund and initiating their return to the state ownership.
4. Address Head of the National Police of Ukraine Khatia Dekonaidze to familiarize with the course of the investigation into criminal cases upon illegal deforestation and beating civil rights activity in the towns of Bucha and Irpin.
