The participants in the hearings were people's deputies, representatives of bodies of state power, and non-government organizations.

Chairperson of the Committee Serhii Pashynskyi reminded that a total of 170,000 Ukrainian citizens had already received the status of combatants and that thanks to those people the aggressor failed to realize its plans to reach Kyiv. He said that despite the challenges currently faced by Ukraine, the state must not forget about the people, who have defended the country, who have to be able to receive good jobs, proper medical observance, and prospects in their life.

The chairperson of the Committee asked the hearings participants to provide their proposals for the Verkhovna Rada, Cabinet of Ministers and other agencies to properly protect the rights of the combatants.

The hearings participants informed about the failure of bodies of state power to fulfill the terms of the legislation, in particular, to allocate land plots for anti-terrorist operation participants; told about the problems in the field of medical services, etc.

The speakers suggested that the Committee and the people's deputies consider an opportunity to classify the participants in the anti-terrorist operation as a standalone social category; suggested that executive bodies along with non-government organizations analyze the effective regulatory-legal acts that regulate the social protection of the anti-terrorist operation participants.

In compliance with the results of the hearings, the Committee will elaborate respective recommendations to be later considered by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, relevant ministries and other executive bodies.
