The Verkhovna Rada Committee on European Integration has held a regular meeting headed by Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Mariya Ionova with the participation of a deputy minister of agrarian policy and food.

The Committee members considered a number of draft laws to examine their correspondence to the law of the European Union, obligations of Ukraine within the framework of the Council of Europe and the Association Agreement between Ukraine on the one hand and the European Union, European Atomic Energy Community and their member countries on the other hand.

The participants in the meeting declared draft laws Nos. 2240 and 3245 non-complying with the obligations of Ukraine.

In particular, the draft law No. 2240 obliges customs bodies to control customs clearance of goods in cases envisioned by the Law of Ukraine "On state market supervision and control over nonfood goods" upon availability of documents that have to accompany all the supplied goods in compliance with the technical regulations requirements.

The draft law No. 3245 aims to legislate the issue of gradual termination of filament lamps circulation in the Ukrainian market.

The Committee members also presented a number of remarks and proposals to some other draft laws Nos. 3446, 2361a and 3778.
