Andrii Parubii: From now on every third song or 35% of all songs broadcast by Ukraine's radio stations will be in Ukrainian

After the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had adopted the draft law on the quota for Ukrainian songs, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii called the decision "an important victory at the information front." He said the draft law had been elaborated by respective workgroup, by the relevant Committee and by social activists.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said: "I will immediately sign this Law as soon as I receive it from the Secretariat [of the Verkhovna Rada]. From now on every third song or 35% of all songs broadcast by Ukraine's radio stations will be in Ukrainian."
