For this purpose it is necessary to identify, on legislative level, the definition of "electronic cigarette” - portable electric product which includes sequentially connected cartridge with liquid, dispenser sprayer (evaporator) and a battery and is used as a personal inhaler to evaporate the liquid solution as aerosol mist that simulates the act of tobacco smoking."
Corresponding changes are expected to be added to the Law "On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl, cognac and fruit, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products."
During the discussion of
the draft law, the reasonability of amendments was grounded on the danger for health
of smoking electronic cigarettes and successful world practice of restrictions
on their sale and advertising.
Committee members believe that adoption of the draft law will reduce the negative impact of the action of poisonous substances contained in electronic cigarettes on the health of minors and create conditions for reducing the level of dependence and addiction of population to electronic cigarettes.
