Committee on social policy, employment and pension supported draft law on renewal of pensions for working pensioners in full scope
The Committee members considered the draft law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine" (concerning the renewal of the full amount of pensions for working pensioners) №4325.
The draft law proposes to amend the laws "On pensions", "On Compulsory State Pension Insurance", "On status and social protection of citizens affected by the Chernobyl disaster" and "On scientific and scientific and technical activities", which provides that the payment of pensions to working pensioners in enterprises, institutions and organizations, except government bodies, shall be carried out in full scope.
During the discussion it was noted that if the Verkhovna Rada adopts this draft law, the norm which limits the pensions appointed for age, invalidity, on privileged terms and as for Chernobyl veterans and scientists will be temporarily excluded on the 2016.
The above said will ensure for working pensioners a receiving of pension payments in full and allow not to apply the restrictive measures to them.
Committee Chairman Liudmila Denisova believes that these changes will ensure higher living standards for pensioners and provide citizens with access to their legal rights.
"The financial situation of our country today has improved, so further limit of the amount of pensions for working citizens is not required. We support this draft law and recommend the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to adopt the draft law as a basis with further improvement for the second reading, "- said Liudmila Denisova.
The Committee recommends to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt the draft law as a basis.
