Every year on June 6 we celebrate the holiday - Day of the journalist. In terms of hybrid warfare modern Ukrainian journalists have become real fighters on the information front.
Every day Russian terrorists, besides the insidious attacks on the military demarcation line, carry out information diversion against Ukraine.
And on this forefront of national defense there are national journalists. Military defend the country with guns in their hands, public organizations with the help of voluntary activity, and the journalist's main weapon is the word.
I would also like to mention the heroism of war correspondents who work on the front and side-by-side with soldiers stand for defense of Ukraine, every day they risk their lives. Journalists at the forefront give to victory no less than our soldiers. Many of the journalists I know personally, and many of them are women.
Nowadays the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation accredited more than three and a half thousand journalists, among which 150 are foreign journalists from 20 countries. This is one of the highest indicator among the parliaments of the world. And it is very important to us, deputies, because we aware that our work is constantly under the very watchful lens.
