Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and members of the Cabinet attended the Verkhovna Rada and answered questions from people’s deputies.
Answering a question on the closure of waste disposal site near Lviv V.Groysman, in particular, said that the issue is an economic one. "It needs to be solved long ago. But today’s situation is extremely terrible. To make a re-cultivation of this disposal site is absolutely normal and really, it is a matter of local Lviv authorities. The government is ready to render an aid, we are ready to help. But it is the competence of local authorities,"- he said.
"The government or the state power does not control this disposal site ... I have instructed the Ministry of environment to examine the state of landfills in Ukraine; this question should be studied" - said V.Groysman.
The Prime Minister said that today in the financial decentralization it is possible to make with of resources of local councils’ budgets.
"No problem - if someone does not know, I can tell you how to do it and what to do in order to pick up the filtrate, degas of landfills, install special equipment of gas production, generate electricity and supply its surrounding areas," - he said.
V.Groysman answered the question as to whether moratorium on land sales will extended from January 1 next year.
He said the moratorium should last until the end of 2016 and to cancellation may occur only after discussion with stakeholders.
V.Groysman reminded that the Verkhovna Rada in 2016 decided to extend the moratorium on land by the end of 2016 and further it is the issue of the Verkhovna Rada: what decision it will approve in 2017.
The Prime Minister also reminded the registered draft law on turnover of land. "No decisions on the moratorium can be until we understand all the nuances of handling the land. Otherwise it would be very terrible situation, "- he stressed.
V.Groysman noted that the land issue is very sensitive and therefore must be aconsolidated and mutual decision.
On the questions of people’s deputies answers were given by Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Interior affairs Arsen Avakov and other officials.
The Prime Minister thanked people’s deputies for the plenary week fruitful and decision-making, including the adoption of the Law on medicines that will enable de-monopolize the market and provide people with quality drugs at low prices.
V. Groysman also thanked the people’s deputies for supporting government initiatives on laws on cooperation with the IMF, yesterday a number of laws were adopted, as well as the decision to start the reform of the judicative authority, the adoption of amendments to the Constitution, a new law on the judiciary. "This is the beginning of very important changes that allow to revive the national economy", - he said.
Minister of education and science Liliia Hrynevych informed about the work done to protect children. She noted that child protection is particularly relevant topic for Ukraine, because of aggression by a neighboring country, tens of thousands of children are faced with the threat of violation of their rights, including education.
The Minister also spoke about the development of inclusive education system in Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of economic development and trade Maksym Nefiodov told about the first results of the last year adopted the Law "On public procurement".
