In speaking of the fruitfulness of the voting, Parubii said: "A lot has been done to make the Thursday vote fruitful… I am confident that this is a historical period," Parubii added.
He reminded about the discussion with the participation of President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and the heads of all Verkhovna Rada factions. "It was a very important meeting. It gathered the President of Ukraine, Prime Minister and all the factions heads. We had a very long and objective discussion of the judicial reform. We plan to finalize it on Thursday," Parubii noted.
He also expressed confidence that there will be no additional discussions of the topic during the vote for the judicial reform.
Asked about possible to introduce fines for absentee deputies, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii said: "We have the fines and they are really effective. This is the directive I have restored. I always repeat, the fines themselves will hive no result without public pressure. We need respective public pressure."
"I believe soon the discipline of the people's deputies will improve," Andrii Parubii said.
