"The most important task facing the Verkhovna Rada on this plenary week is a legislative accomplishment of adoption of laws on judicial reform," - said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii.
He pointed out that amendments to the Constitution were adopted in the first reading. Current legislation and Constitution do not envisage the text of amendments to the Constitution. But some people’s deputies have reservations. Therefore it was decided to create a draft law by the working group that would remove risks in changes to Constitution by adoption of draft law.
Parubii reported that a few days ago, on last Friday, the working group completed its work and a draft law on judicial system and status of judges was prepared to consider. Today, it must be registered in the Verkhovna Rada. Actually, this draft law opens the way to vote in first reading and in principle the amendments to the Constitution concerning the reform of the courts.
