On May 19, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine hosted a presentation of Factcheck.com.ua project aimed at involving ordinary citizens of Ukraine in the process of monitoring of the most important processes in the country, raising the level of political and economic awareness, increasing the influence of civil society on political events and political personalities.
To monitor and track false information provided by officials, from June 2016 the team of experts will check briefings and political talk shows, interviews, statements of politicians and public figures on the populism or lies, and the results will be presented by the project team in free access online.
The project was created by a group of active citizens, political analysts, experts and specialists in economics, journalism, law and state building. The team does not cooperate with political organizations and invites experts, able to work with facts and data analysis, become representatives of Factcheck.
