Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii opened the morning plenary meeting.
Andrii Parubii congratulated the people's deputies on Day of Vyshyvanka [Traditional Ukrainian Embroidered Shirt].
He reminded that the tradition first emerged upon an initiative of students of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University in 2006.
The people's deputies started consideration of the issues on the plenary meeting agenda.
The Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Resolution "On renaming of the village of Bykhaltsokhivka of Ripky district of Chernihiv region."
The population center was renamed as Bykholtsokhivka.
Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 3708.
The people's deputies adopted the Resolution on renaming the city of Dnipropetrovsk as Dnipro.
Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 3864.
The Verkhovna Rada also adopted the Resolution "On renaming some population centers"
In particular, the document renames the population centers in:
1) Vinnytsia region:
the village of Chapayeve as Novi Khomenky;
2) Dnipropetrovsk region:
the village of Krasnoznamiyanka as Biliakivka;
the village of Radselo as Radisne;
the urban-type settlement of Brahynivka as Zaliznychne;
3) Kirovohrad region:
the village of Volodymyro-Ulianovka as Novouliyanivka;
the village of Tretii Internatsional as Tretiye;
4) Luhansk region:
the village of Sverdlovka as Novoyehorivka;
5) Odesa region:
the village of Kirove as Troyandove;
6) Poltava region:
the village of Kuibysheve as Pokrovske;
7) Kharkiv region:
the village of Artemivka as Vysoke;
8) Kherson region:
the village of Komisarivka as Prymorske;
9) Chernivtsi region:
the village of Petrivske as Vyshneve.
Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 4691.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also adopted the Resolution "On renaming of some population centers and districts."
In compliance with the document, some population centers and districts were renamed in 22 regions of Ukraine.
Respective draft resolution was registered under No. 4085.
The people's deputies also adopted the Law "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine" (as to improvement of provisions of court defense for foreigners and stateless persons and regulation of some issues related to counteraction to illegal migration).
Respective draft law was registered under No. 3159.
