At a news briefing dedicated to the opening and presentation of the event I.Heraschenko expressed gratitude to the co-organizers, namely the Program of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) “RADA: Responsible, Accountable and Democratic Assembly," for many years of dialogue, "for long-term cooperation, through which the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is becoming more and more open and transparent." She recalled that the Information Fair is a traditional event in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and is held in the Parliament for the eighth time.
"Through this cooperation, Program “RADA: Responsible, Accountable and Democratic Assembly" makes an important information product for the Ukrainian Parliament, and it not only informs the public about the work of the Verkhovna Rada, but provides information on the drafting of laws, work on the issues vital for the country, about the adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to European standards," Heraschenko said.
The First Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament called important that today the Information Fair - 2016 has brought together over 40 projects and expert NGOs. "Their expertise, professional evaluation is a valuable assistance in the work of the Parliamentary Committees and each Member of Parliament," Heraschenko said.
On behalf of the Parliament she said that they will continue enhancing transparency of the Verkhovna Rada.
