Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii congratulated Ukrainian singer Jamala on her victory at the Eurovision Song Contest at the Monday meeting of the Conciliatory Council of heads of the parliamentary factions and chairpersons of the Verkhovna Rada Committees. "That is an important win. On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine I'd like to congratulate the singer and her team," Parubii said. He added that "victories are extremely important for Ukraine today and Jamala is the one to give a positive signal to millions of Ukrainians."
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the upcoming plenary week "is going to be extremely rough as there is a huge amount of Government's initiatives that require rapid adoption." Parubii said that on Monday morning, there was a meeting dedicated to the parliamentary reform and the final discussion of respective draft law. "I believe it to be important to raise the efficiency of our work," he said
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada called on the colleagues to jointly ensure fruitful work in the session hall.
