Verkhovna Rada Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism makes decision concerning Recommendations of parliamentary hearings entitled "Ways of development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine in context of decentralization reform"

Pursuant to the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated February 2, 2016 No.969-VIII "On holding the parliamentary hearings entitled "Ways of the development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine in the context of the decentralization reform," on March 23, 2016 the hearings were held in the plenary meeting hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Deputy Chairperson of the Committee, Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Physical Culture and Sports Denys Silantiyev in his speech said that during the consideration of the draft Recommendations were taken into account all constructive proposals made during the hearings.

D. Silantiyev assured that the approval of the Recommendations will particularly contribute to overcoming negative trends in the sector and implementing tasks of formation of healthy lifestyle of Ukraine’s citizens, first of all children and youth, developing youth sports and perfecting the work in the sphere of physical culture and sport, and also to funding the sphere.

The Committee decided to submit for the consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a draft Resolution “On Recommendations of the parliamentary hearings entitled ‘Ways of the development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine in the context of the decentralization reform’” and recommend to approve it as a basis and in principle.
