Chairperson of the Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision Liudmyla Denisova said that the Parliament is obliged to abolish 15% taxation of pensions.
According to her words, such taxation of pensions, which exceed three minimum wages, was introduced on January 1, 2015 over the difficult situation in the country.
"During this difficult period in our history, the Government headed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, jointly with the Parliament managed to implement necessary reforms and stabilize the development of economic and financial sectors of the state, which created the opportunity for today to submit a draft law on the abolishment from May 1 of taxation of pensions of citizens of Ukraine," the parliamentarian stressed.
In this regard, in the Verkhovna Rada registered was a draft law "On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine concerning the abolishment of taxation of pensions” No. 4542-1 elaborated by Liudmyla Denisova.
It should be noted that according to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in January-February 2016 revenues of the consolidated budget were increased by USD 8.27 billion over the planned indicators.
Also the author of legislative amendments to the Tax Code said that provided the current economic situation in the country the Parliament may return provisions concerning non-taxation of pensions, and it would not lead to loss of revenues of the state and local budgets.
