Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pension Provision recommends Ukrainian Parliament adopt draft law "On amendments to Article 24 of Law of Ukraine "On compulsory state social insurance" (as to consolidation of social protection of servicemen's families) as a basis

The draft law No. 3846 offers to classify wives (husbands) of servicemen, widows (widowers) of killed or perished servicemen as persons that shall obtain temporary disability benefits worth 100% of average wage (income) in spite of the pension insurance record.

Respective amendments are offered to Article 24 of the Law of Ukraine "On compulsory state social insurance."

The Committee members consider that the implementation of the draft law's provisions will facilitate independent social protection of families of servicemen (killed servicemen).
