Address by Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Parubii on occasion of 30th anniversary of Chornobyl NPP disaster

Dear compatriots,

30 years have passed since that tragic day of the largest environmental and manmade disaster of the XX century — the Chornobyl nuclear power plant disaster. Its horrible consequences affected all fields of human life — economy, production, health care, culture, science, and education.

Although three decades have passed since the day of that disaster, the dampening of its consequences remains a top-priority task for the Ukrainian state.

Dear liquidators, I want to express my gratitude for your civil feat. I wish you sound health and peaceful skies for many years!
