Addressing to the President of Ukraine, members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and people's deputies at the meeting of the Conciliatory Council on Tuesday, April 19, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii noted that each of the meeting attendees is responsible before the future generations. "We have this honor to live in the times of changes in our country. This is both a great honor and considerable responsibility. We have to organize good communication in the society to let people know what really happens in Ukraine," he said. He said it is especially important "in view of the Russia's aggression and its attempts to destabilize the situation in our country."

Commenting the words of President Petro Poroshenko on the intention of the European Union to introduce the visa-free regime for Ukraine soon, Parubii reminded that such a decision had been preceded by revolutionary changes in the field of combating of corruption: opening of property registers; creation of new Ukrainian police; creation of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office; introduction of the system of e-declaration of incomes and property of Ukrainian officials; improvement of the procedure of property arrest and special confiscation; launch of work of the National Agency for Discovery and Administration of Property; National Anticorruption Bureau; and establishment of the National Anticorruption Agency. "Let's also remember about the decommunization, let's remember that we do not procure gas from the occupants — the Russian Federation," he said.

According to Parubii, the authorities have to learn how to inform the society about all the changes and reforms. He thanked previous chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and incumbent Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, and former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk for their work in the said fields. "The adoption of the package of anticorruption laws was a joint achievement. When it was extremely necessary we gathered with the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the President and took decisions and put them to vote. We did not fail even once," he said.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted considerable potential of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. "We have to understand that the deepest possible cooperation between the branches of power is the recipe for our success," he said.

Parubii reminded that the Ukrainians have lost often "when the political elite had considerable disagreement." "So we win when we are united," he noted.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also considers that presence of incredible potential in cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers is a "huge positive aspect." "Volodymyr Groysman as a person, who knows the work of the Ukrainian Parliament from the inside, will certainly ensure deepest possible cooperation with the Parliament at the levels of elaboration of draft laws at the committees and the Verkhovna Rada itself," Parubii said.

The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament also mention a good level of cooperation with the President of Ukraine in key strategic fields: security and defense, European integration, combating of corruption, judicial reform, which he called "one of the key tasks for the nearest future." "We cannot finalize the fight against corruption without holding comprehensive judicial reform," he said.

Parubii also said: "Joint work and high level of responsibility is the recipe for success." "I do count on the ministers and deputy ministers to attend the parliamentary committees' meetings. I hope for close and effective cooperation. We do not have more time. We have to take rapid and effective decisions to move forward," he added.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada expressed confidence that Ukraine will manage to succeed.
