Draft Strategy for developing Ukrainian banking system presented at round table at Committee on Financial Policy and Banking

When opening the meeting, Chairperson of the Committee on Financial Policy and Banking Serhii Rybalka said that the Draft Strategy was elaborated at the initiative of the special working group consisting of professional experts in the field of monetary, foreign exchange and banking regulation, representatives of NGOs, scientific, expert and banking communities.

"The Draft Strategy was elaborated to commence broad national consultations for its further perfecting. The purpose is to consolidate the efforts of scientific, expert and banking communities, the NBU, the Parliament and the President of Ukraine around the tasks of getting out of the systemic banking crisis, formation of a new economic course aimed at transition from destructive model of resource economy to high-tech industrial development and building-up of a strong banking system, able to become the main creditor of the economy development," Serhii Rybalka said.
