Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii has said "he starts cooperation with experts and the society."
"Cooperation with the society and experts has to become a very important aspect of our legislative activity to have all the draft laws elaborated in this cooperation." At that he noted "the cooperation of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Cabinet of Ministers is most probably the most important fundamental for the legislative activity."
Parubii noted, "it is good that the Prime Minister and many ministers have come from the Parliament and thus, know well the structure of the committees work and how the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine really works." "I am confident that they we be able to ensure elaboration of draft laws both at the level of the committees, and at the level of decision-making — the work will be fruitful and effective," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded about the necessity for rapid adoption of draft laws, implementation of reforms in different fields. He said he had recently had a meeting with the Pat Cox's Mission, and that a plan for gradual reformation of the Ukrainian Parliament had been drafted. "We have to implement the Ukraine-NATO roadmap as Deputy Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Alexander Vershbow had confirmed that the Alliance was ready to eye Ukraine's application on the access to NATO after all required reforms are implemented," Parubii said.
