The whole voting procedure at the Parliament on Tuesday was going strictly in line with the laws of Ukraine and the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii told this to the press.

He said the central legal department of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat "has closely elaborated every single detail of the voting in order to let go in line with the law." Parubii also said that the voting was not violated in any aspect.

Asked by the journalists about the procedure of signal voting that was used that day, Parubii said that "the signal voting is envisioned by a direct term of the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine." This term was used to check the level of attendance of deputies in the session hall. "That has nothing to do with violation of the law, or anything that may give any grounds for concerns," the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament said.

Talking to journalists, Parubii said the Regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine needs amendment. One of the first decisions will be "the elaboration of amendments to the Regulations taking in consideration respective recommendation of the Cox's Mission," he said. Besides, Parubii advocated the expediency to amend the order of plenary meeting on Friday "to improve the work and raise its efficiency." The changes in the Regulations will take place in complex both in terms of the Parliament's work and the work of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat, Parubii said.

Besides, particular attention should be paid to the issue of vacancies in the Committees. "We have to check which Committee belongs to what political force and consider that issues," he said.

Parubii said that the Parliament needs new forms of work. "I will offer holding of offsite meetings of the Verkhovna Rada to understand local problems to see what problems people are facing there," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said. He said "it is obvious that the improvement of and changes in the work of the Parliament are the reforms that are currently underway."
