At 14:30 on April 18 in the conference hall, the Committee will hold a "round table" to present a draft strategy of the development of the banking system of Ukraine.
The draft strategy was elaborated to commence broad nation-wide consultations concerning its further perfecting. The goal is to consolidate the efforts of scientific and expert, and banking communities, the NBU, the Parliament and the President of Ukraine on the task of getting out of the systemic banking crisis, formation of a new economic course aimed at transition from destructive model of raw-material economy to high-tech industrial development and building-up of a strong banking system, able to become the main creditor of the economy development.
The draft strategy was elaborated at the initiative of the Chairperson of the Committee on Financial Policy and Banking by the purposefully created working group, which includes professional experts in the field of monetary, foreign exchange and banking regulation, representatives of NGO, research, expert and banking communities.
