The Ukrainian Parliament must establish new Coalition able to form new reform-oriented Government, which will ensure inevitability of the European integration, stabilize the crisis in the country and recover the Ukrainian economy.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this opening the meeting of the Conciliatory Council of the heads of the parliamentary factions and committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Monday, April 11.
"Today, the Ukrainian Parliament is facing the issue of the establishment, renovation, and reload — call it whatever you want — the Coalition able to establish new reform-oriented Government, elect the Prime Minister, ensure inevitability of the European integration, raise the effectiveness of state governance, stabilize current critical situation in the country, ensure economic stabilization, find opportunities to recover economic growth, and ensure social fairness in our society," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
Commenting on the resignation of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Groysman said that "it was a well-balanced decision and a worthy step." "It was most likely a complicated decision, however, the one that really deserves respect," Groysman said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the responsibility for taking respective decisions on reload of the authorities today lies on all political forces and the factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament also informed that the agenda for this plenary week can be amended after the establishment of new Coalition and Government, as well as after the adoption of the new Government's action plan. The agenda for this plenary week envisions consideration of about 100 laws elaborated along with the heads and representatives of parliamentary factions, Groysman said and called on the attendees of the Conciliatory Council meeting "to be serious in the elaboration of the agenda."
